Becca Kufrin Shares Wedding Planning Details, House Renovation Updates, and More!

Former Bachelorette Becca Kufrin joins us here on BachelorNation.com for an exclusive interview about all the exciting things going on in her life right now.

She and her fiancé Thomas Jacobs just bought their first home together in San Diego and Becca proposed to Thomas earlier this year.

Now, Becca shared an update on when Thomas will be returning the favor and proposing to her too.

The Bachelor Nation star said, “Thomas knows what kind of ring I would like, but I also keep changing my mind. Every time I go on Pinterest, there’s something new I like, so it’s kind of hard for him to keep up. He finally got to the point a week or two ago where he was like, ‘Stop telling me if you like anything different because it’s done.’”

She went on, teasing that the proposal is likely coming soon, saying, “I think he’s picked something out. I don’t know if he has the ring or just a diamond or what. I don’t know if he’s designing it or where he’s at in the process, but he just told me to stop sending him ideas.”

And Becca revealed what kind of ring she has in mind for her engagement ring from Thomas.

“For the longest time I just wanted a band, but he wants to get me a diamond. So I really like elongated cushions, specifically the Ashoka-cut diamonds that are very antique-looking and kind of art deco. And I am a gold girl. I love gold,” she explained.

As for wedding planning, the two haven’t gotten too deep into the planning process yet.

Becca shared, “We haven’t really thought about wedding planning too much yet. We would like to do the fall because we both love the chillier weather. I don’t even know if we’ll be able to do next year — we have so many weddings we are going to that are all over the world, so when are we going to be able to find a time that we can get married?! All of our friends are hogging all the weekends!”

And when it comes to the location of their wedding, Becca said, “We think we’ll do San Diego or we’ll just elope. But I told him once we get through the house, we can talk about it. One thing at a time!”

On the home renovations front, things are coming along!

Becca said, “House renovations are coming along slowly but surely. We are probably about halfway done, and I just mainly stay out of the main house because it’s a disaster zone. Thomas is absolutely thriving. He loves doing everything. He and a team are working hard around the clock and I’m hoping it’ll be done in around a month and a half!”

How exciting!

And while it’s been challenging to be living out of boxes for the time being, Becca said that she and Thomas are enjoying the process.

She said, “The best part has been designing the different rooms and layout with Thomas and getting to pick out the different flooring and tiles we want. We are really making the place our own, which is cool because I’ve never had a place where it is a clean slate for us.”
