Legendary architecture and a colourful past impressed the renovation of this previous Baptist church.
With its placing white steeple spearing the sky, sheltered driving an imposing metal fence in the east Auckland suburb of Glendowie, it’s as significantly a landmark today as it was when designed in 1964.
The setting up has had a number of incarnations – church, kindergarten and later a hat manufacturer’s warehouse. The owners, who acquired it currently converted then renovated it, say they are continuously meeting folks who have a link to the location.

“There have been events when we’ve been released to a person who was baptised or married in this article, or whose kids went to the kindergarten the church held downstairs.”
The top and space of the constructing, and the information of the structural style and design ended up captivating.
